Highspeed Digital was established in 1999 with the mission of introducing high-tech products. In 2003, Highspeed Digital became the exclusive distributor of iRobot, the leading brand of home robot, in Grand China, and was in charge of popularizing and promoting the advanced product. In 1995, Mr. Stan Shih, the chairman of Acer, and Mr. Ronald Chwang, the chairman of Acer venture capital, met Dr. Rodney Brooks on the flight way to South America, and they were impressed on Dr. Rodney Brooks’ plan of transferring robot technology into consumer market as well as the same values on company operations. For this reason, Mr. Shih and Mr. Chwang decided to invest iRobot, and Mr. Chwang joined the Board of directors in the meantime. After seven years, the first home robot-ROOMBA was born.

Besides, in order to increase service quality, Highspeed positively involves in the cooperation with domestic academies and industries for researching and developing new technology. Moreover, Highspeed operates in coordination closely with bureau of industry to drive the deep research and development of advanced technologies.
